THE CHILDREN`S FARM

In the morning, the children go to the farm armed with small rakes and hoes. One helps clean the areas that house the baby rabbits and piglets, one gives grass to the young goats and another collects the eggs from the nest boxes.

Each has his own job while awaiting uncle Beppe`s return from the woods with baskets laden with wild berries.

Without wasting a moment, they wash the fruit and break the still warm eggs to bake tartlets of myrtle, raspberry or strawberry, according to the season.
